That would be a perfect area to do a marblizer to add more texture to it. Believe it or not though, it would still be a pretty big job. b/c the person would have to wetsand, mask, spray, clear and then cut/buff. Wouldn't be a 'full' custom paint job, but would still be lots of work. Another way to get out of it would be to work with a vinyl guy and take exact measurements of the areas to be filled, and then apply decals in those areas. Would be about 1/3 of the cost of paint I would think...
It would be nice to break up some of that red on there and really set your bike apart - good thinkin!
