Need Help-Touch up paint
Guys I need help, I chipped a place on my fender and need some touch up paint. Here is the problem Im stationed in Japan and they never sold this color over here or atleast thats what the local Harley shop tells me. The color is Pacific Blue Denim. If someone on the site could send me a bottle I would be greatly appreciative. I will pay you with PayPal, check, money order or what ever form you want. Thanks in advance if anyone can help me.
Rob

The last few times I purchased touch-up paint from the dealer, it came in a 2-Pak (color and clear top coat) and it wasn't cheap. I think it was a little more than $20. Using the USPS calculator, I came up with $12.95 for shipping to Japan - (I just guessed that the weight of the box and the contents is 1 lb, 8 oz. but the charge doesn't change as it's a flat rate box).
All HD products have a part number and any dealer would need to know the year and model cycle to identify the correct paint.
I am leaving Monday morning (6/1) for Florida on my TriGlide and will return 6/13. I think if you contact any dealer, they can identify the product and ship it out. If you haven't resolved this by 6/13, send me a PM (with the part number) and I'll see if my dealer can get me the item.
Best of Luck
Jeff

Just a note when it comes to shipping - you are not 'supposed to' ship paints (flammable material) by air, so technically it should go by boat (taking forever) but it all depends on what you put on the customs label...

I may try to find a PPG store over here and see if I can dig something up. Its not a very big chip or very noticeable I just dont want the salt air to get under the paint.

I hear ya! If it's bare metal now you might want to try some clear fingernail polish - maybe you can find a matter or satin finish in that (who knows???). That will at least prevent it from rusting...
Is the pearl the same color though? I know the pewter denim and the pewter pearl are the same - just finished off with different clears (flat or gloss).
Techincally the base paint color without a clear over, should match up to your denim finish pretty well.......
