Hard Bag Latches and Hardware

Well the RK bagger project is moving along. I have the fresh from the mold extended bags (found the secret craftsman here locally that makes them for the high end guys and got a "non market custom" set direct) and a pair of 2007 lids to cap them. Now I need all the hardware.

I was told by the guy that builds the bags that all the parts have to be purchased from HD individually but with all the hard bags made, there must be a "kit" that includes everything. (well there doesn't have to be but I am hoping.)

Doing a rough parts list, bought by the piece at HD prices, the hardware looks to be more than I paid for the sweet extended lowers.

Any wisdom out there?

I've no idea what HD's cost, but Milwaukee Bagger sells a kit.

Also, check Ebay for busted bags and canabolize them for what you need might be another alternative.

Good luck with your project.

PS: HD sells primered latches if you want to paint to match rather than use chrome latches.

I bought a full set of HD hardware on the internet - I assume that it is available as 1 set, most of it was shrinkwrapped with the seperate peices together on a big sheet.

Thanks to you both I just bought a set of '05 ultra bags that were cracked and rashed to strip the hardware from. They were 350.00 but with some light work, I might get a couple hundred for the bags and lids.
