New Paint on my '04 police Electra Glide

What started three months ago is now nearly done. Here are a few pics of my '04 police model EG now that it has been painted candy red pearl (silver base coat, two coats House of Kolor Kandy Red, one coat of PPG Vibrance Candy Red top coat, and two coats of clear) and is rideable. Rode it for the first time today and took some pics with my phone. Bottom line: I'm loving the new color.

The painter ran out of the HOK Kandy Red concentrate so my fairing lowers, Mutazu tour pak, spare outer fairing, and some small pieces haven't been painted. Also, the bike hasn't been polished and buffed, yet. But I'm extremely pleased with the paint and it's been a blast disassembling the bike, prepping the parts, being there for the shoot, reassembling the bike and, finally, riding again.

The HOK Kandy Red was a late change that occurred when the painter's friend showed up when the parts were getting prepped for going into the spray booth with a fresh 8 oz. can of the stuff. I'm glad he did, of course, because the color is spectacular on the bike, but with all the pieces to be painted, we didn't have enough to paint everything. Also, my plan for including a secondary color and striping went by the boards when we saw the darker tone of the HOK Kandy and the secondary color and striping I'd planned wouldn't work with it. So, rather than make a truly rushed decision (with painted parts in the spary booth), I decided to go with the single color and decide what if anything I wanted to do with another color/striping.

PM me if you have any questions. Oh yeah, almost forgot my "Bible" for this project since I'm not a tech, this is my first HD, and never did anything like this before:

Well done; it is a lot of fun when you get involved and work with your painter. This will leave you with a lot of memories.
Excellent color choice, just be careful not to chip the color, candy paint jobs are not easy to repair, but they are absolutely beautiful.
Enjoy.
