Easy scratching paint

First, I have a nightrain w/Haley vapor paint set.

Has any one else noticed the custom paint sets you get from Harley scratch easy? It seems as if there isn't enough clear coat.

It really has nothing to do with the clearcoat...especially if you have a black base - 1 coat or 8 coats of clear, it will still scratch easily, and worse - it shows the most on black b/c it is so highly reflective....

Only way you will get lots of extra clear is by going with a custom shop that will give you extra clear.

HD factory paint sets probably give you 2-3 coats of clear.

Most custom shops will give you 4 coats, and I, as well as others, give the option of doing 4 coats, wetsand, and shooting 4 more coats to bury graphics and give added depth/protection...
