Bob,
I wonder if the 03 SERK Centennial Gold paint was the same as the Scooby Gold? If so how do you sell it? I need some touch up paint or rattle can.

Is that Centennial Gold a restricted color from HD like the Sterling Silver?

TIA,
John at c9511@yahoo.com
I dont sell paint, only buy it unfortunately, as far as I know PPG does not have codes for the SE colors, My guess, and this is just a guess is they are a custom mix, possibly HOK.

if u want a touch up go to a ppg store and have them shoot it with the color eye it will give a match that is blendable as long as it not tri-coat

one thing about car paints they are made to be sprayed a good alternative is nail polish as is made to be brushed on and will not streak like a auto color if its metallic

Diamond ice is a heavily pearled silver color, has a very slight bluish tint in the right kind of light. Sorry, dont know of anyplace to view chips and the ppg rep tells me they dont have them either.

I guess its safe to assume that the Aztec Orange Pearlcoat 61889 and Viking Purple/Concord Purple Pearl 52788 from '99 and 2000 are the same as the custom color released in '06 on the websight it was just called aztec orange didn't mention Pearlcoat on it in '06 I dont think.

JjR: I sent you an email but will also share the information here. According to the HD paint book, Centennial gold is available as touch-up only and it's part number 94105.

If you want Centennial gold painted parts (solid color/no accent colors), such as saddlebag lid spoiler/Leds, Tour pak spoiler/Led, etc., the paint suffix is -03BFA. Before paying for anything, confirm that the part number of the item you want with the paint suffix given is correct.

For example, I learned this information finding saddlebag lid spoilers/LED's for my friend's '03 SERK. Using 58606-03BFA with my dealer parts guy shows up on the computer as the saddlebag lid spoilers/LED's in Centennial gold. HTH.

I'm putting a set of hard bags on my 06 Deluxe and need them painted to match the factory tins. It's one of Harley's custom two tone colors for 2006.
Dragonfly Green and Vivid Black with blue and glod pinstripes. I know I can match the black, but not sure about the Dragonfly Green because it's kind of a flip flop color with gold flakes that changes depending on the angle and light. Any suggestions from you paint experts on where to find the code or match the paint and pinstripes?

I will see if the ppg computer has anything on it this weekend at the local parts house, just from looking at it previously, I would guess the green to be a tricoat, I will also try to post up the 08 colors, they should have them by now.

Dragonfly green is ppg 909977 and it is a tricoat
as for the 08's, nothing yet but I will post when they come out

Custom Color Paint Codes

BVBOB:
The next time you are checking codes, I would appreciate it if you would check if there is any information on the 2007 custom colors Jake Blue Sunglo and Elwood Blue Sunglo. I have an '07 Road King Classic in these colors.

I was able to purchase the H-D touch-up kit part# 94447. The kit contained three bottles of paint, each bottle had a name and number as follows:
Jake Dark Blue - 33H014
Elwood Light Blue - 33H110
Blue Bro Sunglo Topcoat - 33H017

Recently, I was parked next to a 2007 Ultra painted Deep Cobalt Pearl and it looked the same as my Jake Blue color. However, it might not be a perfect match. Perhaps the Deep Cobalt Pearl has a clear topcoat and my color has the blue topcoat, but I do not know.

I am thinking of switching to hard bags for my RKC, but if I cannot find the correct paint, then I will stay with the leather bags.

The only other way I might be able to go is to special order the factory painted Jake Blue/Elwood Blue hard bags that were made for the 2007 Ultra in these colors. The RKC & the Ultra were the only touring bikes made in this color combination. But that will be a very expensive way to go. I would much prefer if I could purchase a used set of bags and have them painted.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I looked yesterday, nothing on the ppg computer for the Blues bros colors, the head paint guy is off this week but I will quiz him further on it next week when he is back to work.

Thanks to BVBOB for providing the PPG paint code for Fire Red Pearl. I sent him a PM and he got back to me fast. He's a great asset to the forum and I thank him again for help with the PPG paint code info I have now used at least twice.

What about pinstripe paint codes?

I have a '00 Road King in Luxury Rich Red. I am having a friend paint an aftermarket fairing I bought with matching PPG paint to match the bike. I also want him to paint the pinstripes on to the fairing that are on the stock tank and saddlebags. I couldn't find those codes anywhere so I looked on H-D site and found I could order a color matched trunk for my King and for the luxury rich red trunk, it had Red/Medium Silver pinstripes. I did look on some harley dealer sites and found the small 1/2 oz bottles for about 10-12 bucks a bottle. I was wondering if those paint color names would be sufficient for PPG to match or should I just order the small bottles from harley to ensure a good match?
Thanks,
Mark

I now have some ppg codes for the 08 bikes if anyone is interested, ordered some candy red sunglo 3 stage today, will post the codes after I get a complete list from the rep.

#22 ·
Bob, you wouldn't happen to know where to get codes for older bikes would you?

My buddy has an '86 Liberty Edition Sportster. There's a metal flake silver grey in it that's scratched and he wants it fixed.

#23 ·
I happen to run across some old code sheets a while back at the parts house I get paint from , I have been meaning to get a copy and post them, I will take a look tomorrow when I pick up some materials.

#26 ·
Yes it is, but unfortunately I wont have it until next week, the guy at the parts house that knows the HD stuff works 2 weeks on 1 week off and this is his week of, the other guys just dont know the HD stuff. I will post back next week with as many 08 codes as I can get.BTW, that is a beautiful color.

#27 ·
Thanks Bob. Appreciate the help.

And yes, it's an awesome color. Can't tell you the number of compliments I get. I also can't tell you how sick I was when I slipped on sand in my garage moving her and she went down...

BTW - where in central WI are you? I'm close to Milwaukee, but do a bunch of traveling to the Wausau/Mosinee area for work and pleasure.
