Custom Color Paint Codes

BVBOB:
The next time you are checking codes, I would appreciate it if you would check if there is any information on the 2007 custom colors Jake Blue Sunglo and Elwood Blue Sunglo. I have an '07 Road King Classic in these colors.

I was able to purchase the H-D touch-up kit part# 94447. The kit contained three bottles of paint, each bottle had a name and number as follows:
Jake Dark Blue - 33H014
Elwood Light Blue - 33H110
Blue Bro Sunglo Topcoat - 33H017

Recently, I was parked next to a 2007 Ultra painted Deep Cobalt Pearl and it looked the same as my Jake Blue color. However, it might not be a perfect match. Perhaps the Deep Cobalt Pearl has a clear topcoat and my color has the blue topcoat, but I do not know.

I am thinking of switching to hard bags for my RKC, but if I cannot find the correct paint, then I will stay with the leather bags.

The only other way I might be able to go is to special order the factory painted Jake Blue/Elwood Blue hard bags that were made for the 2007 Ultra in these colors. The RKC & the Ultra were the only touring bikes made in this color combination. But that will be a very expensive way to go. I would much prefer if I could purchase a used set of bags and have them painted.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I looked yesterday, nothing on the ppg computer for the Blues bros colors, the head paint guy is off this week but I will quiz him further on it next week when he is back to work.

Thanks to BVBOB for providing the PPG paint code for Fire Red Pearl. I sent him a PM and he got back to me fast. He's a great asset to the forum and I thank him again for help with the PPG paint code info I have now used at least twice.

What about pinstripe paint codes?

I have a '00 Road King in Luxury Rich Red. I am having a friend paint an aftermarket fairing I bought with matching PPG paint to match the bike. I also want him to paint the pinstripes on to the fairing that are on the stock tank and saddlebags. I couldn't find those codes anywhere so I looked on H-D site and found I could order a color matched trunk for my King and for the luxury rich red trunk, it had Red/Medium Silver pinstripes. I did look on some harley dealer sites and found the small 1/2 oz bottles for about 10-12 bucks a bottle. I was wondering if those paint color names would be sufficient for PPG to match or should I just order the small bottles from harley to ensure a good match?
Thanks,
Mark

Bob, you wouldn't happen to know where to get codes for older bikes would you?

My buddy has an '86 Liberty Edition Sportster. There's a metal flake silver grey in it that's scratched and he wants it fixed.

I happen to run across some old code sheets a while back at the parts house I get paint from , I have been meaning to get a copy and post them, I will take a look tomorrow when I pick up some materials.

Thanks Bob. Appreciate the help.

And yes, it's an awesome color. Can't tell you the number of compliments I get. I also can't tell you how sick I was when I slipped on sand in my garage moving her and she went down...

BTW - where in central WI are you? I'm close to Milwaukee, but do a bunch of traveling to the Wausau/Mosinee area for work and pleasure.

Resto
