Smile Gel Pad Question

After riding for about an hour I start suffering from TB and my wife starts in about 20 minutes. I was thinking of getting some of those gel pads that you strap on your seat. Does any one have any experence with them? Do they really make that much difference in the comfort when riding? Any info would be appreciated.

There are so many different versions of these pads. AirCushion, gel and so on. About 4 years ago I picked up a gel "Butt Bun" while I was in Sturgis. It changes the ride quite a bit. What I've done over the years on long trips is ride without the pad for the first tank of gas. When I stop for gas (160-180 miles) I put the pad one...then the next stop I pull it off...and so on. You get the idea. Recently when I'm riding with others I let them use it between gas hops.

You could let the wife ride it for a while, then you use it for a while........

They are kinda spendy (mine was $85.00 three years ago)......but I think worth it.

Then you could ride along saying "I'm gel'n, you gel'n ?"..
