murphdog is an unknown quantity at this point
I've got a Corbin Classic solo and separate pillion pad on my DWG. Also got the oval backrest on the solo. I'm not real impressed with it, very hard and too narrow at 13.5" wide. You can also get the Dual Tour seat if you like the one piece design, same dimensions as the solo in front, the back is a little wider than the seperate pillion pad. Most Corbin seats accept the add-on backrest front and rear. http://www.corbin.com/harley/dyna/
A better choice might be the Mustang Wide Vintage. You can get either two piece, solo and pillion, or one piece. They are both available with front backrest. They are wider than Corbin at 16.5" wide, and also a little taller. http://www.mustangseats.com/

The "seat thing " usually gets tossed around quite a bit. I put a mustang on my Deuce and have never regretted it. Best change that I've done. All day touring comfort. I also got the rider backrest which I didn't think I'd use but now I very seldom ride with out it.
It would be great if you could actually try one out before buying ,seeing that everyone is built different .
I picked mine up at Daytona Bike Week. Mustang will install and let you try it for the day. They're probably at most large bike evnts.

Good luck

I installed the Mustang Wide Touring model and have no regrets. Best price I found was at cyclespot.com

Got a Danny Gray for the Wide Glide that I don't even use anymore....been hanging on my garage wall for over 2 years. It's a very comfortable seat, but expensive. I believe it's the "Passenger Jet Seat" model. I have a Lepera Bare Bones solo on there now but I don't recommend that for very long rides.

Heres a pic of the Danny Gray with a detachable backrest when I had it on there (the detachable sideplates make the backrest look like it sits too straight up IMHO, but it's comfortable for the passenger).

Does the Mustang Wide vintage with backrest move you forward or up at all? I'm considering one, but a little cramped now with the forward controls and stock seat.

I'm with you on that Austin. I would like to find a new saddle that moves my arse back about 1-2". A little cramped with the stock one. I want one that follows the contour of the rear fender a littl better than the stock one while I am at it.

I use the Corbin Classic Solo with the pillion pad.Its a very good seat, looks great and you can ride forever on it.The only bad thing I can say is its not the best fit.Its a little loose near the tank, not a biggie but for the cash it should be perfect. My wife has a Mustang vinatge solo on her Low Rider and it is a great seat.Super comfortable right out of the box while the Corbin needed some break in..(or my butt did). The Corbin will put you back about an 1"or 2" from the stock seat. The Mustang is about the same distance as stock.
