Question Fatboy 2003 V-RAIL

I have a 2003 Fuel Injected Fatboy. I once saw a fatboy (1999 I believe) that had the V-RAIL with the seat. I believe it was a Corbin Classic Solo Seat with the V-RAIL look (The same look as the old Heritage Springer).
The problem is since Harley changed the frame in 2000, Corbin had to change the seat.....now they no longer offer the V_RAIL option. I called Corbin and they said they did not make the V-RAIL...it was aftermarket item that fit their seat....Anyway, I am now out of luck because nobody makes a seat/VRAIL for 2000 up...I even tried getting the OEM part from the Springer to see if I could "make" it fit. No Go!!!I Any ideas on how to get the VRAIL look I am after???? I would even be willing to have somebody manufactiure the VRAIL from scrap. I have an extra seat.

Corbin still has the V-rail for their Dual Tour Seat.

Corbin still offers the v-rail for their dual tour seat. It is on their website, but is priced like $195. I also think it only fits their dual tour, not the classic solo.

I bought a dual tour seat off e-bay for my 04' fatboy that had a corbin v-rail installed on it. It screws directly into the factory holes on the passenger portion of the seat.

I have since removed the v-rail and have switched to a lower profile seat. I will sell both the seat or just the v-rail if you are interested. The rail looks 100% as new, and would sell it for half of what corbin lists it for. I know this isn't the classified section, but thought I would offer it if someone was interested. I just havent gotten around to listing on e-bay.

Hope that helps.

Thanks.....
If I'm understanding, you have the V-RAIL for a seat that attaches to the back/passenger part of the seat (Dual Touring Seat). I should have mentioned that I removed the passenger pillon from the stock seat to give it the SOLO look. The look I'm looking for is the SOLO seat with V-RAIL....According to my wife, I'm always looking for something
that doesn't exist. The problem in this case, is I saw exactly what I wanted, except it was on a 1999 model. The Bike is completely chromed out from front to back (chromed Solid Fatboy Wheels, swingarm, forks, braided wires, etc) and the seat is the last piece I need to finish the look. I thought the V-RAIL would look great w/ all the rest of the chrome. I'm looking for options for the seat and if I can't get the chrome, I need to
find something else....I don't want to settle for less on the seat when the rest of the bike looks so good.

One reason only. Ride Solo.

I loved the seat. Still love it since it is so comfy. But I only ride solo. Wife doesnt ride and she gets upset if my girlfriend does--so I took the foot pegs off and put a classic solo seat on.

Saw One Today

I saw a 2001 custom RK at the easyriders show today here in Dallas that has a corbin solo classic with v-rail. Looked real cool.

Worse case senario, you can always get a solo classic seat, then have a custom seat maker (or corbin for that matter) install the lugs for anchoring the rail. I am certain you can find a quality fabricator who can then make a rail of your own design and send it off to the chromer.

I find all the time that the exact thing I want isnt made, and then have to pay someone to make it for me. From Cowboy boots to saddles to motorcycles, custom is a great way to go.

(Speaking of which, finally found 4 sq/ft of black elephant hide to recover my new corbin solo classic. Love elephant and hopefully will turn out very cool.
