Tony- Regarding those scissor springs, They ain't gonna cut it in my opinion. I tried them on this seat and they bottomed out immediately. I'm about 220 but your 205 would smash them just as flat. I started digging up some pics of the seat then remembered I had posted a thread last year, so I dug it up and here it is.
Picked up a Evo bobber a couple of months ago, been tweakin it some. It had a Ultima solo seat on it- it was ok but had a couple of problems. First of all the seat was too far back on the frame, I had to reach for the bars. It needed an inch or two of forward adjustment, but there wasn't any slot left in the seat bracket.

Additionally, the seat bracket itself was a flimsy POS, it didn't take too well to 220 lbs bouncing around on it.

And, I wanted to mount this LaRosa seat-

The LaRosa seat came with a bracket but it still kept the seat too far back. I searched for a bracket but couldn't come up with anything that would fit- the LaRosa seat pan is curved and I really wanted to move the seat forward. Wound up buying a tow hook from good ole Harbor Freight. I had a coupon and it cost me 8 bucks, courtesy of China. After some bandsaw work, a couple of rounds on the drill press, plenty of filing, and a little bending I had a start:

Kept filing and bending until it fit the seat pan:

Shot it with a black Rust-oleum rattle can and bolted it up- I changed out the springs from 3" to 4" too.

There is a leftover piece from the tow hook that would make another seat bracket, may use it someday. Not being one to waste a fine Chinese hook, I drilled a couple of holes and mounted it to the shop wall.

Forget the seat, now I got me a fine hook to hang my six-shooters and Stetson while I'm in the workshop.
