M-16Pilot wants to know Dino or Syn?
08 fatboy seat recommendations

I know that a seat is a matter of opinion. My problem is while my fatboy seat is more comfortable thatn even the touring seat on my 07 Sportster. I can only handle about 200 miles then the body starts to complain. legs cramp, lower back aches. and it is even after being off the bike for a while.
I am wondering what seat I should go with. I am thinking of waiting till Sturgis to try some out but will be riding before then, planning a couple of long rides before.

Any recommendations for a better seat? it is a 08 Fatboy w/200mm tire.

I had the same problem, I bought a Mustang one piece because the wife rides with me. It has all the studs and conchos on it and is extremely comfotable. do not have the problem with back-ache and leg cramping I did with the stock seat. As I am 57 this was a concern for me, have no trouble riding 400 miles a day now.

Check out C&C seats as well. I love my C&C solo. They make one with a backrest too.

C&C Solo is a great seat, but not for doing ironbutt runs IMHO.

Mustang Wide Touring is the seat for the job... if you wait until Sturgis be sure to check out the Mustang booth as you will see the difference. Had it been available when I got mine, I would have gotten the model with the rider's backrest, although I get plenty of lumbar support without it. Check out the cutaway seat to see how they are made - very well designed and constructed.

Hey Drew - good to see you here bud! Talked with JD just last week and we were talking about you!

Traded my FB this fall. I road with a sundowner for long trips, it gives you some lower back support, and more padding for passanger than the stock seat. If I were to do it over, I would look for a seat that allows for adjustable backrest for the rider.
