I agree with Strokerjlk.
I'm on my fourth RCP conversion with my 09 Ultra. I've had one on my previous three bikes and you'll be hard pressed to do better. They custom modify your bikes OEM seat pan to "your" specifications and they do it very well.
The down side is, as you've noticed, they can be expensive. The one I just got for my Ultra is the most expensive one I've bought so far but I also put a number of options on it that I wouldn't have normally done. I could have gotten my seat converted for almost half of what I paid. It would have been just as comfortable but wouldn't have looked as good.
So far, I'm very happy with it.

PS: Here's a few links to pictures of my seat. The first is a shot to show the overall look of the seat on the bike. The second is just a closer shot of the same. The third is a shot of the seat with the factory HD drivers backrest removed. The seat is a dual conversion. I don't ride two up that often but opted to convert both ends of the seat because I preferred the look. Both ends have RCP's heavy duty internal suspension. The seat is covered in leather on the seating surfaces with vinyl everywhere else. If you want leather, it cheaper doing it this way than going full leather and you really can't tell the difference in the look of it. I sent in the drivers and passengers backrest to have them both recovered so the stitching patterns would match the seat. That is the half moon stitching pattern and I've been very happy with the look. Before anyone asks, with round trip 3 day shipping, it all cost me $1,155.00. I swallowed hard on that number before making my decision but I think it's been worth it. I could have gotten a solo conversion (drivers end only), covered it in vinyl only and not bothered with sending in and matching the backrests and come away with a total bill of between $650 and $700 or so. As I said before, it would have been just as comfortable but wouldn't have looked as good. It just depends on what you want. FWIW!
