Question Touring Seat for Lightweight

Hello and thanks for reading,

I'm looking for a more comfortable seat for my RKC 2008 Aniv. that will allow for my Harley Backrest. Looking at a Mustang 1 pc #76039 (that looks like a 2pc 17" main and 14" rear ). I'm 6' tall and about 155 lbs.

Here are my questions:

Do the Mustangs set you up higher than the stock seat?

Do the Mustangs set you further forward than the stock seat?

Looking for long ride comfort for a light weight, long legged guy. Ideally, I'd like to sit back more and lower to the ground.

Many thanks!!!

Aster

My comments are for a Mustang one-piece #75449 that I recently put on my '06 Ultra. The answer to both of your questions is yes. - moved me up and forward from stock seating position. I'm only 5'4" so it didn't work out for me - sat me slightly closer to the bars, but not quite close enough like a Harley Reach seat; and up higher - I'm on the balls of my feet now at stops. However, it is a very comfortable seat, nice and firm, well-made. I think you'd be fine sitting on it at 6' if sitting higher rather than lower is okay with you. Personally, I like to sit lower to feel like I'm more into the bike than on top of it; however, the good thing about sitting higher is that your leg position on the floor boards is more relaxed (knee not bent as much) as with a lower seat. Hope this helps.

I have the Mustang 2 piece with the Vintage Solo up front. When I called Mustang for information they said that the one piece seat sits higher than stock and the two piece sits lower. My seat sits about 1 inch lower than stock, which I like better than stock. It also sits a little farther back but not much, seems like about 1/2 inch. The Mustang seat is much more comfortable than stock.

Thanks for the replies. I too like riding lower in the saddle. I would snag the 2 piece Mustang if I hadn't installed the Harley adj. backrest and that's almost the price of the seats (with the mount system and backrest pad together). Maybe I'll try the Harley Sundowner (have one for my Deluxe and like it) but I had heard the Mustang is narrower at the tank.

The Mustang Solo with passenger pillion will set you back and down. I had one on my other E-glide and it is a great seat.
