Question Let's play... Name That Seat!!

Hi folks...

Riding time in Minnesota is coming to an end... However, I'd still like to get a few mods done on my '05 FXST, AND use them a bit, before the snow flys...

Pipes and intake are done. Risers, bars and cables are inbound. I'll be ordering my control extensions this afternoon... But what about a seat?

I found this bike ('03 FXST) and REALLY like how they have it set up... Kudos to the owner!!! I wish I had remembered to keep that info!!

Can anyone identify the seat used here?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

(My apologizes to the mods for originally posting this in the wrong forum... Didn't have enough coffee this morning.)

Looks like a LePera Sillhouette to me. http://www.lepera.com/

The overall shape is r-e-a-l-l-y close. But I don't think it's the Sillhouette... I expanded the original pic as much as I could and this seat does not appear to have a seam under the rider's thighs... Where the Le Pera does... Also... Unless the owner removed it, the tell-tale Le Pera tag is missing as well...

I'll put this on my "possibles" list... Thanks!!

My first guess was a HD Badlander, but the back part of the driver's seat looks to be too vertical.

Maybe a C&C Fastback

That's my guess....

Another good guess... But the seat in the pic does not "climb" the tank as much as the Fastback...

Personally, I'm just hoping it's not a Corbin...

ETA: NightCross... Nice 'Train, my friend!! Heck of a job on the rebuild!!

Thanks LooseMoose. It turned out nice. Even the Service manager thought it turned out alot better than he originally thought it would. Still got a few things to do to get it where I would like it to be.

Now that you mention it, it does look like a Corbin Gunfighter.

I was thinking maybe the HD Sidekick, but the back of the seat is too thin.

Good luck

I think I may have found it!!! I'll need to find a btter pic but this "mystery" seat just may be either a Danny Gray Short Hop 2-Up or Weekday 2-Up....

I'm off to Google to possibly confirm....

Short hop...no (short hop 2-up has a smoother transition to the passenger seat-not as vertical)

Weekday 2-up...maybe (hard to tell the stiching pattern where they joined the passenger seat to the drivers seat from the picture)

Agreed on the Short Hop... I don't think I'd go that route anyway... Lack of lower back support..

Weekday 2-Up "may" be the winner.... I've been checking the web and through a bunch of vendor sites and catalogs... I have yet to find a REAL good picture other than the typical "buy this seat" shot... BUT... The shape is right, and from what I hear, the quality is there.

Today is the day... If, by noon CST... I have not found the match to the picture, I think I'll be going with the D/G Weekday 2-Up.

I selected the DG (mines the Butt Crack solo) based on the feedback and info I found on the various forums.

Must say...it is as good as they said the DG seats are. Fit and finish are top notch and they will actually talk to you on the phone. Customer service seems to be a high priority with them.

That's GREAT to hear!! C/S is a stong selling point with me.

The Butt Crack solo is still on my "winter projects" list... Which is long and getting quite expensive!

Question... Is there a pillion available for these? Just checking as the G/F is "planning" on a new bike (her first) this coming spring. BUT, if she plans on me for the financing, she'll be riding in seat #2 again next season... OR... Walking!!

I haven't found one by DG.
C&C makes one, as do a couple others.

If you are going to get the 2-up seat first, why bother with a pillion seat? you can change from the solo to the 2-up in less than two minutes. Just leave the two up attachment screw on the fender (which I didn't do) and presto...you can decide solo/2-up????????????????
