Passenger comfort

Hi i just had too do something . Last weekend was the first time my g/f take a ride width me on my -07 fxdc . She didn`t enjoy . A new seat and a backrest would maybe fix it . I looked at three diff. seats on the net ; pillow-look ,touring and sundowner .
Anybody got experience ? Also , backrest that fit on thase seats.
The dealers here in Sweden don`t have these in store , so i have too order the items i want .
15 years ago we traveled around europa so she got exp. , soo do i . But this is my first stock bike ,25 years of riding of homemade customs .

Thumbs up

Stock seat killed the wife. Replaced w/the Sundowner and now she rides all day with me.

The smaller the seat, the more uncomfortable it will become. Corbins are hard, but they support well. Mustangs are not too easy on tall people, but they may have something useful now. Sundowners are great, but the best is to buy her a HD also so you don't have to worry about it.

Definitly go with a back rest - unless you want to trade up to a newer model of wife.

Erik - Mustang gets my vote....

Erik,

Years ago my g/f (now my wife, so I must ahve done something right) really hated the stock seat on my old Heritage.....I replaced it with one from Mustang and we both thought we had died and gone to heaven! The backrest is a must for comfort and support too. It might be logiticial pain, but if you got a Mustang that you didn't like I do believe that they are very willing to swap it out until you are staisfied - excellent customer service there. Good luck!

RIde safe,

JP

my seat and other stuff arrived yesterday , mounted it today .
Chicago harleyparts sent what i ordered but i did one mistake .
I looked in moco`s catalog and liked the look of sundowner + smooth bucket backrest pad .As i read and understand the backrest should be mounted on "low backrest medallion style " so that was wat i ordered .
But the picture in catalog shows " MEDIUM low backrest medalllion style"l.
This will cost me at least 100 bucks ( new backrest , shipping ,tax)
My driving position is now a little higher than stock seat but comfort feels great .
