Which seat is best?
I am looking at changing seats on my Ultra. Not for the looks but a real change in the ride. Harley is offering a new "hammock" seat. I see comments on Mustang, Corbin, Diamond and Ultimate. Then there are companies offering gel and foam inserts like Ride & Leather. Is there really enough difference in these offerings to justify the price. Any suggestions?

I like the Sundowner line. I've had Mustang and Corbin in the past. Both are top notch seats. Bottom line is what your "bottom" likes.

I have also had Mustang in the past, and really liked it quite a bit. On my Sportster, that is. When I bought my Road Glide I immediately bought a Mustang two-up seat and didn't like it at all. Go figure. Anyway, I am having my stock seat rebuilt by Mean City Cycles next week, and will post my impressions once I get it back.
I think that Geezer-Glide is right, your bottom will have the final word. FWIW, I bought my last Mustang seat from Dennis Kirk, and they provided a return shipping label for completely hassle-free returns in case you don't like the seat.

There's a Butt For Every Seat
Which oil is best? Same type of question. Anyway, I use an Air Zepplin. Love it.
Tried a gel pad on the stock seat. It was better than stock since I could move the pressure points around throughout the day. Then changed to a space age (memory?) foam pad zipped into the same outer cover that the gel pad came with. Way better than the gel pad! That new fangled foam is amazing for getting rid of the high spots in the seat pan.

I am in the same situation. Loved my Mustang Wide Vintage Solo on the Sportster, so automatically assumed the Mustang would be great on my FLTR. Haven't ordered it yet (because Dennis Kirk is still out of stock on the solo with the back rest) for like two months.
I called Mustang directly and was told the "Mustang one piece is nothing like the Mustang Solo for comfort, especially on touring bikes". Something to do with style and shape limitations according to the guy I talked to.
