Tech Sales Guy wants to know Dino or Syn?
Corbin vs. Mustang Seats??

Morning all...
New to the forum and wondered if anyone has suggestions on a seat upgrade for a 06 Street Glide?
Determined that it's probably between Corbin or Mustang ( unless anyone has other ideas ) for a new cushion.
Wife loves to ride but the stock seat is not really that great for a 2 up ride.
Any info would be appreeciated!
TSG

For both my Softtail and Ultra I looked at both Corbin and Mustang, but then opted to have my stock seat customized to fit me instead. I am glad that I did, I know that I am much happier because of it. Ask around your local dealer to see if there is anyone in your part of the country that does this kind of work. For ideas, Google Rich's Custom Seats, he is here in Seattle.

A lot off people complain about how hard the Corbin seats are.I went with a Mustang Regal Ultra Touring for my '06 Road Glide.
Another option is to have your stock seat modified.Mean City Cycles has a good rep.

Don't count out C&C Seats. I have a Mustang two up, and a C&C solo. The Mustang sits you up a little, but not much. The C&C is low and still comfortable. Ruled out Corbin long ago. They're way too damn proud of 'em ($$$), and too many customer service horror stories.

Monty,
OK good thought.
Not sure I'll find anyone here in my section of Indiana to do this but I like the option!
Thanks,
TSG

RG,
Kind of leaning that way.
wondered if the 14" width on the Mustang would be too much compared to the Corbin's stated width of 12" for the rear passenger area of the seat though? Any thoughts?
Thanks,
TSG

Scarbelly...
Gotcha on the "TOO PROUD" angle. Didn't want to start a flame war on the Corbin cost!
I'll look at the C & C Seats for sure!
Thanks,
TSG

Don't know what part of Indiana you are from, but there is a company in Jonesboro, In. called "ride n leather" that does seat work for about $200.00.

I've owned all 3 mentioned above. Save yourself the trouble and buy a Mustang. Cobin seats suck. C&C's are beautiful seats but they hurt my rear end. Mustang is pretty good. I haven't owned a custom seat so I couldn't speak to that.

I have never owned a Corbin/Mustang or C&C seat but I have had 2 custom seats from the same shop and you couldnt give me one of the others. As a matter of fact I am taking my Ultra back to Rich's on tuesday so he can tweak it a little. The best part is he stands behind, over, under, and beside all his work, so if something isnt right he will fix it.

I think this is the best seat I've ever had.

Granted, my aftermarket seats were all on Metrics, but this Ultimate Seat, to me, was just that.

I had a Mustang, and I didn't like the way it pushed me up on the tank.

The Ultimate seat was as good, or better, than the Mustang, and I think the seating position is much better.

Weinerdogbone,
Still thinking Mustang but the Ultra seat posted by Bowtie 18 bears looking into.

Bowtie 18,
Thanks for the post and another option to look at!
I'll check them out.
I have heard that the Mustang tends to shove you a little forward on the bike. Not too sure I'd like that??
THX,
Tech
