Handlebar replacement

I have an 06 police road king. Went to a dealer and he gave me the following details on my current handelbars (orig rk police bars):

Part #56569-86
Width: 31.25"
Rise: 8.5"
Pullback: 5.00"

I said to the dealer that i felt i could use the handlebars back about 2". Not higher but back towards me. He then said that the 'pullback' dimension was all i needed to increase. He suggested part #55954-00.

I went outside and looked at my bike: The bars are currently leaning at about 45 degree angle from straight up (towards me). Seems to me that I need the 'rise' to increase (along the 45 degree angle), though this would increase the height as well.

Is there a standard way of deciding how to get 2" further back towards me while maintaining the same height and width (more or less)?

Also, cannot use risers on a rk.

Thanks,
Lance.
