Relocate back rest not tour pak

I just bought a new 07 street glide and I also purchased the quick detach backrest. My girlfriend does not feel like there is enough room for her back there and it looks like the backrest could move back 1 or 2 inches without letting her slip off the back of the seat.

Is there any relocation kits or other backrests I can buy that will sit back further and expose the entire seating area?

I have the exact same problem. We are really cramped up. I just ordered a Tour Pak and am getting a relocator to move her back. I would also like to do the same thing with the detach backrest.

I can move you back w/ my kit, but only if you have the Tour Pack w/ detach. rack. Not sure there's anything out there for the backrest only. If you get a Tour pack ck out http://harleycomforts.com good luck

I just ordered a tour pak for my FLHT, along with the detachable mount. I am very interested in your kit. Will the Aluminum piece that holds the tour pack bend with weight put into the tour pak or with a bag on top of the tour pak. Is is strong enough to hold with the 4 inch extension.

What is the cost? Thanks

They haven't...but don't exceed the recommended weight for the Tour Pack. I have over 30K miles on mine and several hun. sold w/ no failures. Most of the pressure is actually on the mounting brackets that have a history of wearing out and failures. I check mine often, but have not had to replace them on current ride '04 RG w/ 13k on setup.

I have the same problem also. It would be nice to be able
to move the passenger seat back two inches without
having to spend $700-800 for a Tour Pack. There has got
to be a better way.

Bart Man...what kinda seat do you have...I run a Mustang, which puts you a little forward and a separate pillion that sets my wife back a little..it's a lot better than the HD seat I was running...on the other hand, I ride forever w/ the TP, and extension..Good Luck

I got the Black Studded Smooth Touring Seat, model
# 75577 with the Mustang Rider Backrest, model # 79068 and the passenger rest pad, model # 75320.

The passenger seat is huge, It's 15" (14" on there web site, in error). However, it doesn't look too big with the saddle bags and back rest. Of course, women always love the big seat. Don't look that cool, but it makes them happy which makes me happy. No need to go further.

The seat pushes me forward about a 1/2-3/4" and up about 1 1/2-2". I'm now looking over my windshield rather than through it. The seat my settle down in time, but for now it seems like I'm in a SUV looking down on all you little people (just kidding).

The up side; its soooo comfortable and the back rest is unbelievable comfortable.

So, can anybody answer "MindInMyOwnBiz" question?
There's got to be some kind of solution somewhere.

Maybe, find a sissy bar that'll hold a rest pad on it?

Had the same problem with my heritage but changed the seat to a sundowner. Now girlfriend says it much better seems her seat moved her up away from the backrest now she can lay back on the backrest. Plus it is much better for me too.
