What year is bike? Is this a throttle by wire bike???The SE 260 cam is not a bad cam if you like Hp and your heads & exhaust are able to flow correctly!!! If your looking for tq then you have the wrong cam!!!! Head flow & comp must be right in order to get the proper results!!!! SE throttle bodies don't flow all that great either. Then again this is only a 103ci motor right?

Looks like the same TQ dip as my previous build. SE 260 cams, Forged SE Stroker 103+ Pistons and SE 103+ heads, SE Slip-Ons, stock TB, Se A/C.
If anybody wants a set of used SE260 cams I'll sell 'em a set real cheap.

What kind of comp are you going to run with this TW5??? Most of the 58mm SE throttle bodies dont flow properly. They need to be cleaned up.$hit!!! If it was me, I would clean up the heads & throttle body!!!

You may disagree with me here, but on a bagger id rather have more hp than tq!!! I dont need a 135-140lbs of tq at 2500rpm for what?? If i come out the hole to hard and break the belt then my day is over.Id rather have the tq start at about 120-125lbs at the lower rpms then come on strong after i get the bike moving.I would like my tq & HP to be close in favor of HP.Many guys like alot of tq on baggers because of the weight. If you can't feather the throttle & give to much ,you could break something. Then your race & day is over!!!!!!

Excellent example of dyno numbers not meaning chit, the numbers sound impressive until you look at the torque line, a little street port 95 with 37's would absolutely spank this bike while posting numbers 10-15% lower.

I completely agree with you SEDELUXE, except for one thing. You would not settle for either of those two choices.

Reality Check

Will the light bike with more HP beat the heavy bagger with more torque? Of course it will. But not necessarily visa versa.

One thing that affects HP is sumping. Torque can be fairly good because it happens @ low RPMs, but HP is what really takes the big hit when sumping is in play.

It is relatively easy to drag the flywheels though oil when turning slowly, but crank up the revs and it is like dragging an anchor.

On one hand the 260 isn't ever going to be a low end torquer but 113 HP seems OK to me. If he had a good 2 into 1 pipe perhaps some of that trough would fill in?
