935 mile weekend ride AZ to CA to AZ

Started here in Phoenix and got a room in Yuma.
What an adventure. The ride also took us
through the dunes.

The destination was the Salton Sea.
The "lake" is dying from salt but growing every year.

Did some off roading on the Glide to get to the pots.

I would put this in my top 5 favorite rides. There is tons I didn't write about.

sound like the straw when you get to the bottom a a shake



The salvation mountain had this as the old man called it
his museum. This is what it looked like from the outside.




This is the inside. All the trees are pulled there by him.
Some are stacks of tires covered in adobe and painted.

I ride from Southern Ca to Scottsdale for Bike Week in April & occasionally ride up to Sedona to Prescott, those are nice rides & have never thought of going south through Yuma because....... well its Yuma! j/k But your pictures were really cool & have opened my eyes to a different route. Thanx for the pics

You know I was surprised at Yuma. It's really a nice place and I think gets a bad rap. I didn't see anything to make me not want to go back. If you have only seen it from the highway give it another chance.
