Kentucky 11 (Maysville to Mt Sterling)

A group of us are heading down to Red River Gorge again in a couple of weeks. We'd like to take a different route than we did last time (all ex-way). Looking at the map, it looks like there are a couple ways to get there. One is all the way down 68, and I know that's all pretty good road. It looks like you could also go all the way down ky 11. My question is, has anyone here been on that stretch of road and if so, what is your opinion of it? Erik

Well I haven't rode my bike on #11 but I have been on it plenty of times in my cage. Should be a good road to take to Mt Sterling. There will be a couple of towns to slow down thru but other than that it is a two lane most of the way.

Banjo how was the trip ? I am going there next spring. I am going down via West VA. and the New River Gorge. I would be interested in any points I must see.
