Arizona camping

I'm going on a spur-of the-moment ride/camp to Arizona. Leaving Wednesday 9/19. Leave Las Vegas and get somewhere between Prescott and Sedona the first night. Just me and tent camping...Any suggestions on a good reliable camp spot that doesn't need reservations???

I need to make Cedar City, Utah on Friday night, any suggestions for Thursday night?

I'm gonn'a take flak from my wife for this but I'm going anyway...just me...I'm just not real familiar with that part of AZ.

Granite Basin N of Prescott, White Spar, Wolf Creek S of Prescott, Dead Horse Ranch SP Cottonwood, Manzanita N of Sedona. These are just the parks that are listed on the road map. When I travel I go on a wing and a prayer, I use the map and then there are always private parks. My preference are the SP's, they are always well maintained and they cater to the families, nice and quiet. In a pinch you can always find a rest area with a night watchman, if your nice to them they will leave you alone and not make you leave. My buddy and myself are passing through there early Sept, 10 day trip and camping the entire trip. It will be interesting. Good luck to you!

Those are all camp sites however some are primitive and do require traveling a few miles down rutted dirt roads. Williams has some great areas that do not require any typ of permit and are most sites are less than 1/4 mile of dirt on maintained roads. We camp in williams with out issue. Wolf creek is nice but i would not ride a street motorcycle in there. Feel free to give me a ring if you want I can even make a few calls for you to see what the current condtions of the roads are.
