Love that part of the country! I've spent more time (since I was a kid) than I can think of right offhand in that area. Only been there a couple times on my bike, but your pics make me drool.
I wanna go back - TOMORROW!

I've been going down every year for 10 years. I love it. My favorite route is 28S from the Dragon the whole way to Franklin NC. Foothills Parkway is a fun one as well.

I am so lucky to live here in the Smokeys, (ok they are 20 miles away), and it is always a great ride, no matter how many times you go. Its beautiful country.

Just got back back from PIGEON FORGE - Sun - spent a week riding down there - The DRAGON is awesome and 441 thru the Park is a great ride to. Wish I had time to do all the roads in that area. But there is always next year!

Road the dragon this past week, went up the Natchez trace from Natchez to Nashville, cut across tenn, rode the dragon, hellbender, Cherohala Skyway, down by two wheel only, through Helen Ga, through Macon Ga. Then to Unidilla(closed) and to Cairo ga. through Bainbridge, Dothan Al, and on Home. Great ride, hot as heck but fairly cool in tenn and n. Ga.

I didn't take it, but it looks like the Thunder Mountain General store on 149 between Robbinsville N.C. and the start of the Cherohala Skyway.
