All of the bigger parks on Tenkiller are well equipped. If you want any details about any of them, I would be glad to help out.
Right now the lake is 11' above normal so there isn't much of a crowd.

Wow, you must of had some serious rain.

I spent most of my childhood summers on Grand Lake. And plenty of weekends on Tenkiller.
Beautiful area. I've seen both lakes rise like that after heavy storms. It usually messes up
the lake for the rest of the summer.

Yes, the rain has been pretty relentless the last couple of weeks and is in the forecast for the next week. All these lakes:Kaw, Keystone, Skiatook, Grand, Hudson, Ft.Gibson, Tenkiller, Kerr and Eufaula all end up in the Arkansas River. The Corps of Engineers has a helluva job to regulate discharges at the dams to keep from flooding Ft.Smith and Van Buren. Without additional rain, they can have it sucked down remarkably fast but it can cause a few problems in the navigation channels.
I have lived on Tenkiller for 16 years and have seen a few years that had higher than normal lake levels all the way into August.

Make sure you stop off in Commerce, OK. Tell the people in the local coffee shop that you came to see where Mickey Mantle grew up!
