On the return home from a beautiful morning charity run to Morris, Illinois, yesterday, the skies opened 50 miles on the return trip home.
The other riders and I stopped under the canopy of a closed service station, as the storm intensified.
One rider had weather radar access on his cell phone, which showed hours of rain were on the horizon.
We all decided to venture home, with relentless, sideways rain being endured all the way home.
My Harley engineer boots were soaked.
I used paper towels overnight to wick moisture out of the insoles, and tonight I turned the mighty Air Force Sidekick Dryer to finish the drying process.
Seems to have worked out great.
Any better suggestions for the next soaking?
Steve
