Willie G braided Chaps-how to cut down?

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have a Willie G Braided Chaps that I need to cut about 2"
in length off. The braided leather does not end at the bottom.
Should I just cut the braid and tie after cutting off?
thanks in advance for reply.

cut everything except the braid off, you could start a new fad.

Don't cut them. If you cut them you will find it hard to re-sell them. There are very few Umpah Lumpahs that buy second hand chaps.

Have your legs stretched instead.

Alternatively buy some 2 inch cuban heels.

20538 will become famous soon enough
remember not to cut them too short as while your riding with your legs extended they'll be much shorter. Especially while on the highway pegs.

ok back on to the jokes, pardon my side bar on the original question.

What I did with mine was cut the very tip of the braid off so that you can "un-braid" the braid up to the point where you plan on trimming the leather. After trimming the leather as needed, I took the ends of the braids and slipped them underneath the overlapping of the leather pieces in the braid above, basically working my way up the braid until I was confident that it wouldn't come unraveled.

I took mine to a leather shop and had them take care of it. Don't recall what they charged me but it wasn't much.

I also have a brand new pair that I won't wear because of the rear of the chaps dragging behind my boot. I thought of just cutting them at an angle but can't bring myself to possibly ruining a high dollar pair of chaps. I myself won't do it: Would have a professional do it because of their value.

Two guys I ride with cut the length of their chaps down. Now when they have their feet on the highway pegs, their Levi's hang down below the chaps. I thought mine were too long but after seeing that, I left them alone.

spend 15 bucks

Spend 10-15 bucks and have the leather shop fix them.
