snell safety but has a cool look.
i define cool as simple and clean looking. no extra crap.

Scorpion, i think it is a exo200. purchased it at Ray Price HD in Raleigh NC last summer. Has flip up shield and recesses for speakers.
Totally happy with this helmet.

I'll third the EXO200. Mine is great! Best of the three 3/4 helmets I've owned.

Shoei RJ Platinum gets my vote... Have had a few helmets - but nothing fits my head as good as this one. And IMHO it looks good too

not to promote another site but go to webbikeworld.com and look for their helmet reviews. I purchased a Bell full face mainly dependent on the review they gave and I have been 100% satisfied. I am also planning on getting a Bell 3/4 helmet based on their review as well.
One thing to remember on any helmet...forget cool looking. The tings that matter are Protection, Comfort and Wear ability.
A skid lid may look cool but it definately will not protect you in a fall/crash.
It can look the best with all the HD logos (remember HJC makes HD helmets) and cost you 100$ more that a lesser marketed brand and do the same purpose....protection.
It can also look cool, have HD logos (which IMHO...are worthless...another rant on that)...but if the helmet is so uncomfortable what is the purpose of buying it. Wear the helmet for some time before you buy it. If you cant wear it for 10 minutes at the store then you sure wont wear it on a 5 hour ride. If you wear a do-rag or the like, try on the helmet with that on your head.
Forget the coolness factor...it is like a HD logo on the side of the helmet...it looks neat but is like **** on a boar hog....completely worthless in the long run. I learned a long time ago that comfort goes a long way...

Scorpion EXO 200. I paid $100 for mine shipped to my door. Looks good, very comfortable, and it's easy to swap face shields.

I also have a Scorpion EXO 200...hands down the most comfortable helmet I've ever owned. The face shield is very effective (can ride w/o glasses completely) and it's easy to switch out face shields (I purchased the dark shield as well directly from Scorpion...received it in 2 days) or attach the visor instead. Extremely well made and quality components; I've owned ARAI and BELL and I think Scorpion's are of the same caliber (and not nearly as expensive). My girl has the EXO 100 w/ the built in retractable shield and she loves it. Excellent products; excellent company.

I googled Scorpion after reading this thread and I have to say that helmet is one of the best looking ones I've ever seen. My bike is flame blue/pewter pearl and I'm looking hard at the blue Scorpion.... it looks so nice it might look too nice while I'm riding (I'm hesitant to look overly bling) LOL.
I'll have to get me one before springtime, but still lean toward basic black. But geesh that blue one is pur-dee. Hard decision.

Those Scorpions are nice looking helmets, but made in China, does that mean they are comprise of 50% lead, and 50% Melamine?
Sorry, had to put that in. I've been thinking of going 3/4 fit myself. The Arai helmets are expensive, but if you are thinking of safety, they go beyond Snell, they test the helmet everywhere, not just the key point areas specified by Snell and Dot.
