Contender for August 2009

Well...I would like to throw my hat in the ring...

Year: 1999
Model: Road King
Eng size: 107"
Transmission(5sp, 6sp etc): 5sp
Pipes: D&D Fat Cat with QB Baffle
Seat: Danny Gray Weekender
Wheels: RC Component Czar 21/18
Accessories: R&R heads, roller rockers and 615 cam-Bob Woods compression release-Mikuni Polished 42mm Carb -Feuling Super Pump-Rivera Pro Clutch-Performance Machine 6 piston calipers-Autometer Speedo/Tach combo-Arlen Ness velocity stack,oil pressure gauge,levers, grips,mirrors, shifter and brake pedal-RWD license plate/brake light/turn signals-Arnott Aldan air suspension-Progressive front lowerings springs-TWR stablizer

So my bike has 85,000 miles on it now. I had the 107 kit installed 5,000 miles ago and it didn't really need it yet but I just wanted more power. The bike has 117 TQ and 110 HP

This is the stock color (Aztec Orange Pearl) which was available for 2 years. People always think my bike is newer than it is. In fact they never believe me when I tell them how many miles it has. It has been a fun project so far and I'm not done yet. Next on the list will be a RWD stretched tank, stretched rear fender and Klockwerks wrapper front fender and then I will be done. At least that is what I'm telling my wife. And yes I will be sticking with the stock color. I am really trying to keep the bike clean, simple and classic.

Thank you for your consideration!

Year: 2006
Model: Road King POSE
Eng size: 88ci
Transmission: 5sp
Pipes: D&D Fatcat Q/B
Seat: Police (Rider) Mustang (Passenger)
Wheels: Stock Street Glide
Accessories: Wild 1 10" Mini Apes, Braided lines, SE A/C, HQ 34's, SERT, Detachable Tour Pak, TWR Missing link, TRW lowering, Dunlop E3's and some Chrome.
And the story:
To all of those who have a Road King you know the versatility these bikes have. For those who don't know the pics will tell the story. We've been from Jersey to most points south and this bike has never skipped a beat. I recently traded this bike for an Ultra. The Ultra is a great bike for it's purpose (touring) but the King is hard to beat as an all around great bike.

Old Harleys Just Get Better!

Year: 1990
Model: FLHS Electra Glide Sport
Eng size: 107 ci S&S 50th Anniversary V107T, 103HP 102TQ.
Transmission(5sp, 6sp etc): stock 5-spd, Barnett clutch
Pipes: Samson true duals with S&S SPO mufflers
Seat: Corbin touring dual and trunkrest
Wheels: stock alloys, painted plain gloss black
Accessories: batwing and tourpak, Harrison 13 inch front rotors and Billet 6 callipers, braided lines, True-Track Tracula handling kit, Fournales rear air shocks, Avon Venoms, HID headlight, halogen passing lamps, Nostalgia grips, display stand, intercom, gps, lots of other bits-n-bobs, but mostly function rather than show!
And the story: Bought my first Harley new in 1974, when there was only one dealer here in the UK (over 30 now). I grew into the brand and eventually decided a Glide was the only way ahead and bought this bike new. It has been in continuous development ever since! As improving Harleys has developed over the years I have modified mine, via a stroker conversion to a recent S&S. Our latest adventure in June 09 was a tour to the Tatra Mountains in Slovakia, a 2,500 mile round trip via Holland, Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland.
