This was my first Harley and even though I have a Road Glide as well, I still love to ride it often. I bought it brand new in 97 and have been working on it and riding ever since. I've done all the work myself, except for the engine work. Like so many others, I added lots of chrome to start with, but after a few years I started deconstructing and removing chrome to add color.
I put the twin headlights on before they really became popular and came up with my own mounting system. I also did the ball milled type slots on the upper belt cover myself and cleaned it up with files and a dremel. Lots of hours of work. I think Willy G was watching cause aside from the skinny 21 on the front, the new Dyna Fat Bob looks an awful lot similar.
Future work could include a different rear fender and a fatter rear tire (160-180 max) I want to maintain the good handling. It's a fun bike to ride with Torque and HP in the 90's. I have always wanted to paint it, but the stock color is so damn nice I haven't yet. I did paint the air dam, horn and electical cover with rattle cans to match though.
Hope you like it
