TC96 Baseline to 107cid Conversion Graphs
Okay gentlemen. A local H-D dealer was kind enough to mod up and make some pulls on a brand stinkin' new TC96.
First Graph - Revperf 107cid Flat Top Bolt-On Big Bore Kit
Screaming Eagle Air Cleaner
Screaming Eagle Slip-On Mufflers
Stock Cylinder Heads
Stock Cams
Stock Throttle Body
Power Commander
Pretty interesting results for the guys that wanted to know what adding just the 107" kit would do. Obviously the SE aircleaner and slip-ons were added but I would consider these mods the most basic of upgrades.
Second Graph - Revperf 107cid Flat Top Bolt-On Big Bore Kit
Screaming Eagle Air Cleaner
Screaming Eagle Slip-On Mufflers
Stock Cylinder Heads with Beehive Spring Upgrade
S&S 585 Cams
Stock Throttle Body
Power Commander
All that was added was a set of S&S 585 cams that the dealer had laying around. They didn't want to burn a set of their in-stock SE's.
Stay tuned folks 'cause the best is yet come. We just purchased a Newen Contour CNC seat profiler as well as another simultaneous 5 axis cylinder head machining center that is totally devoted to R&D. We are coupling this with cutting edge port profiling software developed for Nextel Cup to appropriately simulate cylinder head operating dynamics with regards to displacement, compression, operating range, induction and cam event.
2006 was a great year for us at Revperf and I would like to personally thank all the members of this board for your support. We are totally committed to raising the bar this year and the years to come with regards to all aspects of the company and the products and services that we offer.

Brian,
Why does the power and tq cross at 4200rpms instead of what we are used to seeing 5200rpm's????
Just curious....

Look at the HP scale on the left and Torque scale on the right. They are different scales.

Thanks Springer. Basically has to do with the force scaling to mathmatically determine where they cross. The purpose of these graphs is to answer some of the questions that were posed as to the affects of add just the 107 kit and what could be expected.

Good info. Thanks Brian. Is the 63HP and 76 TQ numbers from a bone stock 96-incher?

That is correct. We wanted to do was start with a "virgin" straight off the pallet and see where it would go in very basic steps.
Thanks for the interest!

 Man cant wait,
I have a GMR stage two heads and tw55 cams 55mm throttle body + intake and the Rev 107 kit with 10.5 compression, aaahhhhhh this is going to be nice, that bike is missing heads and throttle body to make its potential....
Nice to see it with just the basic stuff on it like most people already have.

I have a question. If I go the the HD site and look up (an 07 96") their dyno charts for their Stage1 kit and then with SE Street Performance Slip-ons I see:
Dead bone stock 96" is close to the 63 HP & 76 TQ
Stage1 shows about 72 HP & 83 TQ
SE Slip-ons (assume incl. Stage1) shows about 73 HP & 93 TQ
So, their Stage1 and then Slip-ons seems quite impressive. Is HD selling us a "bill of goods" or is the stock 96" just crazy restricted and with a/c, exhaust & flash it shows to be a very good engine.
And, what is Stage1? Timing, richen-up, etc?

Early on HD advertised the numbers for the 96" at the crank.
What I hear from several sources is that the 6 speed and the newer primary design have more parasitic loss(drag).
Also makes me wonder with the EPA stranglehold that HD came out with the 96 just to maintain equal or a tad more performance then the 88.
What I mean is if they offered an 07 88ci option would it have even less hp.
The cams are pretty mild and we all now about the stock maps.
Pretty tough to meet EPA regs and have high HP & TQ numbers.
The 2nd build with the hotter cams really wakes up.
Brian, thanks for posting the comparison dyno sheets.

The 96" out of the box is a dog. As you can see from nice bolt on jugs upgrade and getting off the stock HD cam, there is power waiting for you. And I'll tell you something else, the stock heads are choking back a good 10 and 10 minimum so, boys and girls, be sure when you have the heads off putting on those RefPerf barrels that you get those heads done, too. Like streetglider07 says, heads and TB will let her breathe. Smoother, cooler running with lots more power and a COMPLETE build. Both RefPerf and springer can give you good service in that department.
All the best to you guys at Rev in 2007.

Thanks GRock. To be honest, we are getting more excited after every test we do on this new motor. Look for a lot more in the way of testing results as well as articles coming up in both Hotbike and Ironworks. The Ironworks piece is nice because it is for the TC88 crowd and encompasses a build on a bone stock B motor to our Stg. 2 kit. Don't want to give away too much but suffice it to say that the difference in the dyno's pre and post is pretty stout. Got a new cylinder head port design that should be through testing by May that is designed to pack the cylinder early and will produce some pretty astounding torque numbers with really mild cams. We'll keep you posted!

Here are some updated 107" kit graphs from another of our dealers.
Additions are ported heads, 51mm HP Inc. T-Body and an LSR 2-1 exhaust.
128 hp/126 ft/lbs
I wouldn't suggest more than this level of build without a Timken conversion. I would even, "gasp", suggest staying closer to the 120/120 mark for the insurance of long term durability.
