WOW I bet you wished you wouldn't have sold any of these kits Brian. I know I wished I never bought one... So do a lot of other buyers of your kits...

I am proud to say I run Nik-A-Sil lined cylinders and would happily take your lunch money if you weren't afraid to go to LVMS. Perhaps you will change your mind...

The part that gets me is why do they warranty the cylinder but not the piston?? I paid over $1000 for my 98" kit and it went bad within 6 months. I sent the cylinders and pistons back and got a call from Andrew at RP and he explained that the pistons were too small which made the skirt calapse, and my cylinders were out of round - So at the time I didn't make a big fuss out of it. Then I find out RP was who supplied the pistons in the kit!!! So WTF? I asked Andrew why they won't warranty the whole thing, and he says I would have to deal directly with the piston manufacturer. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense. If RP selected the piston and sold it as a kit with their cylinder, then how could they NOT be responsible for it? I am not satisfied with the way I was treated by Revolution Performance, AT ALL.

I also second what Flyin Brian says and it is BS warranty. Who ever bought a combined product and only one part of the kit is warranteed. BS again to the RP company. Booggerbe.

Pistons were too small? That's some good stuff right there! How about QC went straight to hell and the bore was too big, and out of round?

The warranty is great for them. No one wants to make a claim and risk installing their junk a 2nd time. Some tried to sell their refurbished kit. About the only way to resell it is to give it away.

Are they saying it was improper installation and you should have made the pistons bigger? That's what it sounds like.

I totally understand you're spending a fortune, but you better get thier stuff out of your engine before you loose a bottom end. If they will refund your money, even if it's just for the parts you might want to take it as it's a known amount.

You could get it fixed and sue them for everything you're spent and you might get it all, but you may get nothing and have to pay a bunch of court costs. It really helps since you're in the same state. You never know.

I'm sure there are many out there that have had no issues. I know of a few member here that are still going strong right now. But, there are many with issues too(myself included).

I think the ones with issues are the most vocal.

Sorry for the late reply Chris, I didn't notice this post.

I think they decided the pistons were too small before they realized they supplied them. Then the story changed and it was like they were saying don't worry about why it went bad before, just buy our new improved pistons with the super duper coating and almost NO SKIRT and everything will be fine. Will that be Visa or Mastercard?
