Christian Biker Gathering

This Saturday, August 19, there will be a gathering of Christian bikers in southern Illinois at the Wayne Fitzgerald State Park near Rend Lake. The park is located off the Sesser exit of Interstate 57 in between Benton and Ina ... approximately marker number 80...Illinois Route 154 headed west.

This is a family type event...picnic, games, fellowship, maybe an afternoon ride.

The event starts between 10a.m. and 11a.m., and it will be at the number 4 shelter. Several CMA chapters are riding in, as are some other Christian riders.

Look for signs on route 154.

Great turnout for the gathering. CMA members from four southern Illinois chapters attended, and several Road Riders for Jesus from north of I-64 came down. Lots of food, friends, fellowship, fun and laughter. Many, many bike games. Weather cooperated....thanks to having all the trees around for shade.

Looks to be an annual event in mid-August. This was a great refresher for mid-way through the riding season. Time to get busy again, though...lots of events and rides coming up.
