Mike Teague, BlackSheep brother in Heaven.

I received a PM this morning from VTF member syco, asking if I knew Mike Teague, and if I knew he passed away. Mike and Steve (syco) were friends -- as were their wives.

Yes, I knew Mike well and he will be missed by many. He struck a barricade while riding his Harley this past Friday afternoon, May 15th, and was killed instantly. He was on his way to Motorcycle Madness in Santa Maria, riding from Arizona. I don't know the details other than what I have posted. I was stunned.

Mike was from Santa Maria and moved to AZ a few years ago. One story about Mike (there were many!) that I thought I'd post was about his hospital visit to a down HA member. There were guards at the hospital room door, in colors. Mike was wearing his BlackSheep Harley-Davidsons for Christ colors, approached the guards & asked if he could go in and pray for the downed biker. One of the guards went in and asked, and Mike was allowed in (Mike said he was never refused this request).

Mike prayed at the bedside of this HA member (no doubt for healing, and for his sole), and left. A short time later (days, maybe weeks), Mike was contacted by the HA's and was told that this member did not make it. They invited Mike to speak at his funeral.

Mike accepted their invitation, and indeed spoke at the service. He was the only patched rider there not wearing red and white. After the service Mike was invited to their clubhouse (which is VERY rare), and went. He said he never felt so loved and welcomed by a group of strangers as he did on that day.

This story always spoke to me. Not only did God use Mike to touch their lives, but he also touched mine. I often think about how welcoming, non-judgmental and accepting of Mike the Hells Angels were. I believe they were touched by God's word as delivered by brother Mike.

God rest his sole. Our prayers go out to his wife, Christie.

"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." 1 Cor. 10:31

I got an email late last night with the news.
I'm sad today for the loss of a fellow Black Sheep, the loss of yet another biker, and the pain for all involved.
I'm glad though, to know he knew Christ and we'll meet in heaven someday.

Im truely saddend by the loss of a good friend! Mike was a awsome person who would do just about anything to help someone out. Im glad to have known him and to call him my friend.I am going to miss him and I know many others will to.Its good to know he was a Christian,so Im sure that he is a happy man to be in heaven! My prayers to his wife Christie and the rest of his family, But rest assured that he died doing what he loved doing and he is with Jesus.I am thankful for his pushing of me to go back to church and all the others whos lives he has touched to.I hope to be like the man he was someday!
