Here's a new one
A Republican lawmaker in New Mexico introduced a bill on Wednesday that would legally require victims of rape to carry their pregnancies to term in order to use the fetus as evidence for a sexual assault trial.
House Bill 206, introduced by state Rep. Cathrynn Brown (R), would charge a rape victim who ended her pregnancy with a third-degree felony for "tampering with evidence."

So, my question is: is there too much gummint intrusion into our lives?

But that is about as far as I better go on politics and the like. Nobody likes who I am when i get on that rant, including myself. LOL

Welcome to Planet Wingnut. This is where the NeoCons are headed, and why they will, save for stealing and gerrymandering, lose every election as long as they can't get these batshit crazy bible thumpers and rightwingnuts under control.
Michele Bachmann AGAIN tried to get "Obamacare" cancelled. Meanwhile, millions of Americans are already enjoying the benefits of the revamped health insurance program.

We get to enjoy Obama care each time we look at our payroll deductions!
