Fred, you want to take this one?
(PS to Fred, I was able to pick up a Tallit and a Kippah for my class for a reasonable price - class went very well - I will treat them respectfully always of course.)

That's right, and the first Crusade was a response to what amounted to "ethnic cleansing" of Christians in occupied areas and increased Muslim aggression toward Christians making pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
The first crusade started out basically as a group of largely unarmed peasants filled with zeal who answered the pope's call to go to Jerusalem. Most of them were subsequently slaughtered. Later in the first crusade, an actual "fighting force" embarked and its actions were bloody.
The "Franks" were familiar with Muslims and had fought against them along the edges of Islam's spread into Europe. The Franks were familiar with Islamic cruelty and had no illusions. Consequently, they gave little quarter.
A tactic of Islam apologists is to downplay Islam's nature and claim the Crusades initated and were responsible for much of the barbarity. The reality is they were all barbaric, however Islamic expansion and their treatment of non-muslims - especially within Jerusalem was the "spark" that set the Crusades in motion.

Why is it when a Muslim follows the teachings of the Quran and Hadith as a good Muslim and then put it into practice, they are called radical? Should they not be called Devote?

To bad there are no true practicing christian's in the US. We are only left with cafeteria christian's.

Since you gave us your opinion of what a perfect parent was (you) awhile back, tell us what "practicing Christians" and "cafeteria Christians" are. Maybe this will be easier for you than some of us trying to figure out your antagonistic arrogance.

I have yet to met a "christian" that follows the rules set forth by god in the Book of Leviticus.
Unless you are, you are a cafeteria christian.
