San Francisco - Wiener doesn't want to see weiners
So, the notoriously liberal San Francisco could soon pass a public nudity ban. I can't stop laughing at the fact that the guy who proposed the ordinance is named Wiener.

This topic (public nudity in SF) has been discussed in other threads here recently. Could this be the beginning of a movement to change the image of the city? It seems like an anti-progressive move to me.

Why is it always ice cold in the doctors office when I am being checked for a hernia?

I hope his first name isn't Harry.
James, do you really think if it was 95 in the office it would make a difference with you?

Why are they even debating this? Should not be legal to be nude in public period. Only in SF where fruits and nuts run free.
Beautiful city, go there with the family, but embarassed by my fellow humans most of the time I am there.

I guess we can always depend on you to be crude and disparaging.

Land of Fruits and Nuts
Derogatory, stereotypical; used in present day to refer to California. The fruit represents homosexuals, nuts to crazy people, hippies. Sometimes directly refers to San Francisco and its liberal mentality.

HDSickness - You don't even know when you are being stereotypical and derogatory.

I've said this before in other topics but let me restate it here. I am opposed to this legislation or legislation of this kind. I believe in personal freedom, and that includes the right to dress or not as one chooses. It use to be against the law for a man to wear women's clothing and in some parts of the world it still is. I do not believe in putting some individuals morality into law and making everyone else follow what that person thinks is moral or immoral. I have no problem with occasionally seeing a naked man or woman in public. I have met Scott Weiner a number of times. He is a fine person but I disagree with him on his approach to this issue.

Here's your problem: some of us, actually a majority, believe in social mores. You think it's wrong for us to criticize your social choices, we think it's wrong for a grown man, or woman, to expose themselves in public. Especially when children are present and some coverage I've seen of Castro show naked men around children. That's wrong, period. Keep your sh!t covered!
