Fiscal Cliff prediction

Mark my words . . . . .

Tax rates will remain unchanged as of 01/01/13. This gives the republicans the "out" of participating in lowering tax rates on the below $250k folks some time during the first quarter. In this manner they will be able to remain true to the lord to whom they have pledged fealty, His Higness, Grover Norquist. They will not have violated their no tax increases pledge to Lord Grover. Wait, watch, it will happen. No balls, too many oaths to too many things/people, and the Constitution does not come first.

Yes, yes, yes, the dems are equally if not more wicked, but there is no honesty or honor on the right either.
Some people's idea of free speech is that they are free to say what they like, but if anyone says anything back, that is an outrage - Winston Churchill

I'll predict othrerwise. Taxes on people in the top 1 or 2 brackets will be raised, possibly a new millionaires tax will be added. SS taxes will be re-instituted, death tax will be brought back and Obamacare taxes will be imposed.

A small "meaningless" decrease in the rate of increase on spending. Most of the defense cuts will be dumped.

And then in a couple of weeks the borrowing "cap" will be raised. (some cap)

Elections have consequences. The dems won. Give 'em what they want, just make sure they own it.
