Americans - a Public Service Film by Kid Rock & Sean Penn

This is a funny video. Makes everyone here seem lame when it comes to name calling. Warning, some of the language is bad. "Americans" is a short, public service film starring Sean Penn and Kid Rock, directed by Jameson Stafford. The goal of the film is to tear down the one-dimensional political stereotypes portrayed by the media by confronting them head on. It reminds us that what really matters is that we're all Americans, with diverse thoughts, opinions and stances on issues. We are millions of unique, individual parts, the sum of which comprise a whole that is the shining beacon of freedom throughout the world.

The film reminds us to be proud of our differences, and to never forget that we're all in this together as Americans.

your description makes it sound so touchy-feely secular humanistic.

Bunch of tripe. Sean Penn is a douche. He's as divisive as they come.

I agree, Sean Penn is a floater. (That's what my septic tank guy calls a solid floating around in the liquids when he is suctioning out my tank.) I do agree that we need to start working together, our Elected officials Especially need to start working together, or our country's end is rapidly approaching. We also, need to fix the Electoral College system, the all or nothing by state system is seriously flawed. It allows for the campaigning of through of the most densely populated areas of the US, marginalizing, and even negating the rural vote. Until this changes, we will have a few people, a few battle ground areas in less than 10% of the states electing the President and Vice president for the other 90% of the states. It's my opinion that the Cities do not reflect the opinion of the entire country.
I think the message of the video is that we all have to get along, anyway.

Entertaining. Now that I'm home, and should be in bed by now, I thought it was pretty cute. I'm a drinker, not a hater.
BTW, who are the bar tender and the broad from Trinidad? They both look very familiar.

And most of the country is still drinking one of two flavors of Kool-Aid sold by those like Mr. Penn and Mr. Richie. Drink up.
