OK, you have all now read about the 18-24 previously unemployed now working for the gummint. Masquerading as FEMA assistants they can quickly turn into shock troops in the forth coming martial law period. (this will replace the "recent unpleasantness" of 150 years ago.) Unless you have deep knowledge otherwise, don't blame Obama just yet. A. was this concept original with Obama/Holder or designed under the previous administration? B. What happens when a Republican or Conservative next becomes Prez? Will he/she keep this standing army so the Conservs can now declare martial law? Or disband them as a liberal travesty of the American Way? C. what would be the difference in martial law depending on which party was in power? (other than who would be thrown in the work camps) D. is this part of the Patriot Act, Homeland Security subdivision? E. How much natural disaster type training did these youts really get?

Well, since the pundits all think we should be moving toward a one-party system, I don't see how any election would make any difference Fred.

Here is what that hater Ron Paul had to say about it all:

Quote:
Ron Paul: A New Beginning

by Ron Paul

America is over $16 trillion in debt. The "official" unemployment rate still hovers around 8%.

Our federal government claims the right to spy on American citizens, indefinitely detain them, and even assassinate them without trial.

Domestic drones fly over the country for civilian surveillance.

Twelve million fewer Americans voted in 2012 than in 2008, yet political pundits scratch their heads.

It’s not hard to see why, though.

To go along with endorsing a never-ending policy of bailouts, "stimulus packages," and foreign military adventurism, the establishment of neither major party questions the assaults on Americans’ liberties I’ve named above.

As my campaign showed, the American people are fed up. Many realized heading into Tuesday that regardless of who won the presidential election, the status quo would be the real victor.

GOP leadership is now questioning why they didn’t perform better.

They’re looking at demographic changes in the United States and implying minorities can only be brought into the party by loudly advocating for abandoning what little remains of their limited government platform and endorsing more statist policies.

My presidential campaign proved that standing for freedom brings people together.

Liberty is popular – regardless of race, religion, or creed.

As long as the GOP establishment continues to not only reject the liberty message, but actively drive away the young, diverse coalition that supports those principles, it will see results similar to Tuesday’s outcome.

A renewed respect for liberty is the only way forward for the Republican Party and for our country.

I urge all my Republican colleagues to join the liberty movement in fighting for a brighter future.
That kind of talk will not be tolerated in the new America.

The main issue I have with it was they way they were vetted. These guys could make muster on most LEO troops, let alone qualify for a carry permit in a restrictive state. BUt Homeland indoctrinates them a little, then arms em up.

IMHO, Homland needs to be the second federal agency to hit the history books. Right after the Department of Education.

Sometimes Fred thinks it's important to make sure everyone on the Titanic gets the same number of red and blue deck chairs to rearrange.

as a conservative i have to admit, i was one of those who dismissed Ron Paul as a crack pot (or worse) and a total waste of a vote.

now, as the numbness of Tuesday begins to wear off i'm beginning, admittedly too late to make a difference this time around, to wonder if the real wasted votes weren't the ones cast for Obama or Romney.

i think it's time to do some reading, researching, rethinking and reconsidering.

i may end up back in the same place i started but at least i will have 'taken the trip' and 'made the effort'.

like we say when we're talking about our bikes, 'it's not the destination, it's the journey' .

I disagree. I think Fred sees quite clearly that we're f*cked by both parties at the moment. We're $16T in debt and counting. Obama has his idiots thinking it will all be fixed by taxing the rich at a whopping extra $250 billion over 10 years.

Let's do the math there, it's $25 billion per year to fight what has been $2 trillion in spending beyond our means over the last four years. A mere drop in the overspending bucket. But hey it'll make the libs sense of fairness feel so much better, so at least we got that going for us. F*cking joke.

At the same time is the lack of employment and all that extra spending for Obamacare. That's holding back employment, which is hitting the middle class. Face up to it folks, the bulk of the income taxes are paid by the middle class and not the rich.

But on the other hand are the Reps and their lack of any pragmatic thought. As a conservative I hate the idea of raising taxes and giving money to a pathetically unaccountable government. However at this point it may make sense to give Grover Norquist the finger, give Obama his beloved fair tax increases and demand some accountability from his highness for some spending cuts.

Will it happen before we go off the cliff? Doubting it, and in the end it won't matter if you're a Dem or a Rep, we'll all be screwed.

Stop being a puppet to either or your favorite parties people!

Thanx but what I had in mind here was this picture:
http://fromthetrenchesworldreport.co...d-youth/23898/

if these youts are in the FEMA department of Homeland Security what the H E double hockeysticks are they doing with automatic weapons? Would it not be better to have them around a Bobcat or EMS truck to show us they belong to FEMA? That way they could keep it a secret that they really are trained to enforce martial law.

I've been voting for ANYTHING other than a Republican or Democrat for years and it really does seem like I keep throwing my vote away cause apparently most of the nation really does not want a change. And I feel it's only going to get worse with the kids coming of age to vote that are so used to having everything given to them. Do you think they will want to change? I doubt it. I think we are doomed now. I think the sooner we go ahead and crash the better so the true doers can start rebuilding if it's at all possible. I don't have a lot of hope anymore though.

Interesting that aside from obscure blogs and websites - no one hears of this. My question is about recruiting. How and where? Is outreach and recruitment solely directed at minorities - the "have nots?" Smart to bring class warfare to the equation.

The program, and all Obama initiatives; should be accelerated, expanded and budgets tripled.

I don't disagree with you, but that does not sound like a synopsis of Fred's views to me.
