Reckon What Mitt Romney Is Doing These Days?

He is probably chillin, lickin his wounds (which falls in line with his healthcare plan), maybe right here in his La Jolla home, looking over the printouts of his investment accounts, kind of tallying up his money, figuring screw everybody, I am transferring more money to the Cayman Islands.

Probably feeling depressed. This is the first time in his life he didn't get something big he wanted. It was reported that the morning of election day he still believed he would win big, not based on the polls but based on the enthusiasm of those who showed up at his rallies. He must be dealing with quite a come down.

You're probably right. He did everything he could do win and it was very close in the end. For various reasons, people just didn't take to him that well.

I'm a little disappointed myself. Some of the older folks like my father, are really depressed over the outcome. I may have to take old Dad for therapy.

I want to change something I wrote earlier. Romney did have to deal with a big defeat once before when he lost the Senate race to Ted Kennedy.

I darn sure didn't want Obama in again but in a way I'm glad Romney lost. It's the first time I've seen big money NOT get what they wanted.

Heard he is in therapy, and Obamacare is paying for it...

He lost the Primary for POTUS to McCain just 4 years ago. He's actually on a 3-game losing streak.

Obama didn't have big money backing him.

You somehow seem to think Obama didn't have 'Big Money' backing him?

Mitt is busy taking charge of his economic empire, after leaving it in caretaker hands for at least the last two years. Then he will do a little networking and proceed as he always has. Once he has a handle on the likely tax code and trade law changes, he will do some business and make some billions. Unless something changes, he'll move some more US jobs to Asia. It's not his fault that the law makes it much more profitable to manufacture off shore.

Hell, even our own armed forces are buying big ticket items from across the pond now. Anyone notice where the last few blocks of T-38's were built? Anyone read the new naval base agreement proposal that was made to the Philippines? It includes provisions for the construction of new war ships. Dems, Repubs, for all the differences, they are really all the same. They sell out to big money before we middle class guys ever know their names.

I don't think Romney is sulking at all. Nor is he emotionally distraught over what you think is his first or second "big defeat" in his life.

Romney is hugely successful in his life. Now you may not like his politics, but you can hardly argue with his success. Any one with his amount of success is very use to set backs, curve balls being thrown at him all the time. People like Romney are very use to taking large risks and accepting their fate, be it good or bad. And then adjusting and moving on.

Imho you don't get to where Romney is in his life by moaning and bemoaning 1 particular event in your life. It just don't work that way
