Well this happened even faster then i thought it would. I knew the Republicans had it up there sleeve to Impeach Obama if he won.

Let the president be duly warned.



Rep. Walter B. Jones Jr., R-N.C., has introduced a resolution declaring that should the president use offensive military force without authorization of an act of Congress, “it is the sense of Congress” that such an act would be “an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor.”



Specifically, Article I, Section 8, of the Constitution reserves for Congress alone the power to declare war, a restriction that has been sorely tested in recent years, including Obama’s authorization of military force in Libya...

Unless I misread that date, the article is dated March 11. Does not look like anything will ever come of this or anything against Obama. And if he is called in front of congress, he will answer as well as Clinton about sex in the oval office with Monica.

Jeffrey, I would suggest you educate yourself about what impeachment actually is rather than what you think it might be before you assume the president will be "forced" to do anything at all. This is nothing but a Right Wing dog-and-pony show that will end just like the Clinton impeachment (you know, the guy who helped clean Romney's clock on Tuesday). What it might do is infuriate enough voters to give the GOP another kick in the ass in the mid-terms.

Your sh!ttn' me right. The impending "Fiscal Cliff", an economy still in need of a lot of work, the entire middle east in a state of flux and the discussion is still about his birth certificate and now potential impeachment proceedings.

And yet people wonder why things are so fukk'd up.

It is kind of old news, as is the birth record and such.

Personally, I think that every member of congress should have one thing on their plate. Passing a balanced budget. Time really is running out. The fed has basically been printing money for 2 years now and with interest rates at near 0, this whole smoke and mirrors financial system is going to blow up. At some point the administration is going to have to face up to inflation. They can only use the housing crash to write it down for so long. And when the fed has to raise interest rates to curb inflation, the cost of service the debt starts to climb. In less than three years, it explodes.

Every where you look, consumer prices are rising. Food, energy, healthcare, transportation, local taxes, you name it and it's going up. So some are saying that we already have an actual inflation rate over 5%. What happens if it gets to 10 or 15%? Any of you old enough to remember the late 60's and early 70's? It wasn't pretty then and it will be worse now.

Seriously, we can't afford two more years of the inter party conflict. We need to put it aside for a while. Hey I'm a republican, and where I live we lost bad. What with the damn Tea Party and Christian radicals, I'm surprised it wasn't worse. It's time to face facts. The government is us, and us is broke! And all the impeachments in the world won't fix the problem.

I say let it go. Biden would screw it up worse. Obama said he could fix it then spent 3 1/2 years blaming Bush. Give him four more years. I've got a bet on him.

Finally, someone speaking some sense. Now, if the "esteemed colleagues across the aisle" can put aside their pet issues and ideology and focus on real solutions to the real problems at hand, perhaps something might actually be accomplished.


But currently I am not prepared to hold my breath.
