from whence came the rumor that this was Broadwells husband?
I love juicy stories but only if they are true.

Wow, this getting very ugly very fast.
First it turns out that another 4-star is involved, then Petraeus' "family friend" may have been playing hook and ladder under the table with him...
...and now this...
Quote:
WSJ
New details about how the Federal Bureau of Investigation handled the case suggest that even as the bureau delved into Mr. Petraeus's personal life, the agency had to address conduct by its own agent—who allegedly sent shirtless photos of himself to a woman involved in the case prior to the investigation.
|
What? - This agent was involved with this woman BEFORE the investigation?
These people and their sexual adventures have done more damage to the Military effort in Afghanistan than the Taliban has been able to do in 10 years.

Yeah funny how we already know much more about Petraeus' affair than we've learned about Fast & Furious or Benghazi.

Interesting that it all goes back to MacDill AFB.

Yeah. Pushed those stories right off the front page and into the dark closet where they will be forgotten by the GP.

Yes, yes it is. I wonder how many other GO's at CENTCOM are a tad nervous today?
Even if the media is only getting the level of correspondence between Gen. Allen and this lady half right, that is still a ton of communication. It's almost unimaginable to think you could generate 20-30K pages of correspondence to a single person over a few years.

Yes sir, and how much access did the "social ambassador" have to them and their work spaces?

I'm guessing that's overblown. It has to be. I can't even guess how many hours per day you'd have to commit in order to generate that amount of crap.
To me, a lot of things about this story don't make sense.
1- The e-mails in question are being reported to be more in line with what a jealous teenager would send. If so, how did this gain traction with the FBI? Even though some FBI agent seems willing to help her (sounds like he wants to get her in bed), there had to be some supervisor somewhere who looked at the evidence and said, "not an FBI issue."
2- How did they get a warrant to search Broadwell's computer? They didn't know Petraeus was involved yet so it's not like they could convince a judge that there was a pressing National Security issue.
Weird.

I think so, as Secretary of State she couldn't run, I remember something to that affect.
