The personal life of a highly decorated retired war hero in a position of national security (CIA Head), who by his own words abhored his men doing what he did and wouldn't think of putting himself in a compromising situation, should be out of bounds.
After all blackmail only happens in the movies.

Even though the CIA and FBI are not known for playing nice with each other, which could cause most politicians in Washington to not immediately run with FBI investigative results on the CIA, it seems pretty clear that Petraeus' reputation and public stature played a large role in not moving quickly on it. Imagine being the guy/gal who tried to make a public spectacle of him and ended up being wrong?

don't you realize by now that all of them are liars, will only tell you something if it's beneficial for them. always thought they worked for us, but guess I missed out on something when the USA changed from a democracy. Petraues out, he was an Obama yes man. Just once, wish someone in the military would show some balls towards the Campaigner in chief.

Senator Finestien says that she will insist on the now retired 4-star CIA chief testifying.
Stay "tooned."

Looks like Petraeus' girlfriend may have let the cat out of the bag regarding Benghazi.
“Now, I don’t know if a lot of you heard this, but the CIA annex had actually, um, had taken a couple of Libyan militia members prisoner and they think that the attack on the consulate was an effort to try to get these prisoners back,” she said during her address. “So that’s still being vetted.”

Hmm, I thought Obama shut down foreign CIA detentions.

I don't believe that.
It was all because of a Youtube video.

About the cigar, he must have smoked it. Why make one if not to smoke it, so she'll smoke it maybe?

Or maybe he gave that cigar to one of the visiting foreign heads of state to smoke in the rose garden. That would be a hell of a story.

Now here is an interesting twist. It appears that Broadwell's husband might have recently written a letter to "The Ethicist" column of the New York Times asking for advice in dealing with an ethical dilemma related to his wife's affair. Check out the second letter in this column.

I live for stories like thee .......
Scandal probe ensnares commander of U.S., NATO troops in Afghanistan
The FBI has found between 20,000 and 30,000 pages of "potentially inappropriate" e-mails between Gen. John R. Allen and Jill Kelley, the 37-year-old Tampa woman allegedly threatened by David Petraeus’s mistress.
Allen, a Marine, succeeded Petraeus as the top allied commander in Afghanistan in July 2011.
sounds like they had a 4-way going on.
