It might serve a lot of folks well to find out what all the 'obstructionism' is related to before passing judgement. For instance, say a couple of guys get together and buy some land and then want to build condos on that land. One wants to build something that they can afford to build that will appeal to the majority. The other, being a stubborn ass set in his ways wants something that is excessive in cost with features that few will want or can afford. I'm betting the ass would be running around telling all his equally asshole buddies that want a piece of the action that the other guy is obstructing construction even though the other guy is in reality the one that is thinking straight.

In retrospect that statement by McConnell may have helped to ensured that Obama is a two term president.

funny how that works isn't it?
Obstructionism blah blah blah, Bush's fault blah blah blah. Republicans fault blah blah blah.
The truth is the Dems are just as unwilling to compromise as the Reps are, they've taken a highhanded approach since day one and apparently were not humbled by the loss of the House 2 years ago. I don't see it getting any better in the next two either...

Maybe the two partners could sit down and come up with a plan that would appeal to the majority but also have some of the features that will appeal to the few.

When I read this forum, it's pretty clear to me that the people who reject compromise are the Right Wingers -- usually based on nothing more than their belief that they are right and everyone else is wrong.

you only prove my point with that statement, sitting on your soapbox blaming the "right wingers" you're the pot calling the kettle black...

It's kind of hard for a conservative to win when the media is carrying Obama's water. It was an uphill battle for Romney and in the end he lost by not being aggressive enough and forcing the Benghazi issue to come up. He should have hammered Obama for it. Now we can only hope he is impeached and we end up with president Biden. Heaven help us.

49% of Americans voted for obstruction. The Republicans need to fight the democrats, it's what their constituency elected them to do.

I know this may be difficult to accept but the progressives in this country believe that the media is tilted toward the conservatives. I'm not suggesting here who is right or wrong, just saying this is an issue in which both sides feel that the media is not in their corner. Each side will point to media that favor their argument.

Or we can impeach them both and end up with President John Boehner.

Boehner is no prize either. I am coming to grips with the fact that regardless who wins our country is doomed. Can any of you show me a way to change the course we are on? I cannot think of a scenario that doesn't end badly.
I am in Vegas, just woke up, going to go gamble and head out for a nice dinner and an evening of supporting college students and single mothers.

they can believe what they want but it's already been proven that most of the major networks and media outlets are liberal biased, Fox is the only really conservative biased outlet..

Just wait and see what big business and job creaters do over the next four years, nothing, same as the last four.
God help us all!
