after all that has been said here, especially from people we didn't expect, I think it would be nice if we stopped the name-calling and personal digs just because of a difference in political philosophy.

Sounds like a good plan. As different as we may seem at times it is amazing how much a like we are. I would like to think we can express our views in a respectful manner.
One more note I myself was surprised to learn of the number of people who have shared similar feelings. Fred thanks for making us all aware.
And it is interesting to reflect for me how far I have come since those dark days of past years ago. Good stuff in this time of Thanks Giving !!!

I am not a person to open that part of my life up for people, but I felt that I was among friends, and let you all know where I was coming from. It has been a long time since I thought about that, and it was nice to maybe be able to help someone else through it. This proves that human nature is still good, we just have to come together. We may not agree politically, but we have all come to this forum with the same belief... LIVE TO RIDE, AND RIDE TO LIVE. Our passion is what makes us a family here. I wanna personally thank you all for chiming in on this subject. I posted a thread a few days ago thanking everyone here for opening my eyes and helping bring my passion back, look it up if you wanna see it.

isn't it interesting that Fred. who initially discussed "a failure" is the one that stepped up to stop the bickering.

Yea...where's the fun in that?
I just read all the posts here this am. as this kind-of thread is not real appealing to delve into. That being said..it makes me kinda sad to see some of the despair and problems folks have had. But, makes me feel good to see those of you who have managed to pull through.
For what it's worth, when I am down, it's usually when I'm the most "self-centered" it helps when I can be outwardly focused and make efforts to help others.
Or, really slam people on the forum I disagree with.
