My buddy wants to add a Procharger to his bike -
'06 FLHXI
95" Big Bore
Stock heads
203 cams
Would headwork be a good idea to let the heads flow better? Open up the ports, bigger intake valves, leave the compression at stock levels.
Would a better cam be a good idea?
What is a good exhaust to use with a supercharged motor? He has stock headpipes with SE slipons right now.
Thanks,
Steve

Head work would help, but is not necessary for the supercharger to work properly.
Do you know what the compression of his motor is?
That cam will work just fine, no need for a change there. The exhaust is the same way. What he has will work just fine, but you will pick up more power with a set of true duels or a big 2-1.

I'm going to guess he is around stock compression, which as we know is anywhere's between 8.8-1 to 9.1-1 depending on how bad the castings are.
I think he wants to just leave everything he has now alone, and just bolt-on the Procharger.
What kind of increase or results could he expect to see?
Is the only place to order the kit direct from ProCharger, or is there online retailers?
Thanks,
Steve

A bike built like that should easily make a 60% increase in power, if not more.
We defiantly have a system that will work for his bike. If you like, you can PM me and I will give you a few of my dealers where you can purchase the system from.

One little thing I made a mistake on............his bike is not EFI, it's a carb bike.
Does that make a difference?

LJo,
I just received your informaiton packet in the mail. none of the Softails pictured had "crash bars" on them. does the system allow for bars with the intercooler. If you also send any info for dealers in the N IL /SE WI area I'd appreciate it.

If you go with a side mount intercooler you should have no problems. If you go with the front mount you "may" have interference. It could clear but possibly with some modification to the intercooler mount.
