Hand shift

Hi!

Let's see if you can help me ...

Where and for how much, can I find the foot clutch/hand shift kit for the Shovel FLH?
i mean the kit that bolts to the front leg of the frame and not to the left side of the fuel tank.

Thank's everyone!

From an OEM perspective...

There are almost 70 seperate part numbers for the hand shifter assembly and related trans/drum parts... the foot (rocker) clutch assemby lists another 35 parts.

You'd be better off looking at some of the aftermarket kits... like J&P 22-0720, or 22-1016, 15-908, 15-909, etc...

Of course the early shifter drum (cam & cover assembly) will be somewhat harder to find (OEM # 34801-65) as I'm not aware of any aftermarket source.

You might want to keep your "ratchet top" and go with the appearance of the old tank shift, but it'll really be a "slap shift" with the same pattern as the foot shift... see J&P # 22-0703... It would take some creative modification on your part to interface with the tank shift assembly, but it could be done.

Your only limits are your imagination... and your wallet.
