looking for spark plug recommendations

It's been years since I looked into new plugs for my sporty and I notice there are now a lot of choices. All I have ever run are harley 4r4s. Now there are platinum and fine wire electrodes with U grove or split collectors. What experiences have you had with the various types now available? Anything to stay away from?

I am running a 1000cc with a .03 overbore and thick head gaskets and an S&S super B. The bike runs pretty dirty and needs to warm up before it runs smoothly.

I bought some splitfire forked collector type plugs. I'll see how those work out.

The split fire plugs are a colder plug so if your bike was already too rich (dirty) it will be worse with those. Those fancy plugs today are for people who have more money than cents. The std #4 plug is all you need.
